Villa Monastero is a historic villa located in Varenna, Italy, on the eastern shore of Lake Como. It was originally built as a monastery in the 12th century, and later converted into a villa in the 19th century. The villa is known for its beautiful gardens, which feature a wide variety of plants and flowers, as well as a number of terraces and paths with views of the lake. The villa is also home to a small museum that features exhibits on the history of the villa and its previous owners. In addition to its gardens and museum, the villa is also used as a conference and events center. Villa Monastero is a popular tourist destination in the Lake Como region and is easily accessible by boat from the town of Varenna.
