  • Afternoon: We’ll then drive to Rouen. Once there, we’ll explore the majestic Rouen Cathedral a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, and the historical Gros Horloge.
  • Evening: We’ll have dinner in a local Rouen restaurant, savoring Norman specialties, like duckling à la Rouennaise or Neufchâtel cheese.

  • Morning: Setting out for Miromesnil, the birthplace of Guy de Maupassant, we’ll be captivated by its beautifully manicured gardens. As we wander, we’ll appreciate the blend of French formal and English informal designs. The combination of flowers, vegetables and fruit in the kitchen garden behind the house is pure magic.
  • Afternoon:Our journey continues to Agapanthe, a garden known for its contemporary design and the owner’s ‘old garden’ which is also now opened. Wander through its rooms filled with rare plants, sculptures, and water features. This garden is a modern masterpiece, and its design is ever-evolving, reflecting the owner’s travels and inspirations.
  • Evening: We’ll head back to Rouen. If there is time, perhaps you might like to visit the Museum of Fine Arts to see an impressive collection of paintings, sculptures, and drawings.

Day 3: Rouen – Valérianes – Plume – Rouen

  • Morning: We’ll travel to Valérianes, a tranquil garden oasis known for its harmonious mix of colors, scents, and textures, complete with winding paths and intimate corners. Here there are two gardens to see.  A tranquil informal garden in cottage style (Madame’s garden) and at the other side,  a collector’s garden with many shrubs and special trees (Monsieur’s garden) . Both gardens are very good.
  • Afternoon: Next, we’ll visit Plume Garden, a modern sanctuary showcasing a diverse mix of perennials, grasses, and shrubs, designed to captivate throughout the seasons. Plume is a  wonderful garden with a completely different planting style. Influenced by Dutch designer Oudolf, you’ll see many grasses, perennials and beautifully clipped hedges. This garden cannot be compared to any other.
  • Evening: We’ll return to Rouen. There, you’re free to explore Rouen’s historic streets, soaking in its rich history, or simply unwind in your hotel.
