If you’ve ever watched Monty Don’s “French Gardens” on Netflix you’ll understand why we include France in our garden tours brochure.  We visit many of the gardens he features, as well as many more. In France, we visit the Gardens of Versailles, perhaps the world’s largest. A garden designed for Louis XIV on nearly 800 hectares, it receives more than a million visitors every year and is the “must visit” French garden par excellence and an unforgettable experience. We also visit Claude Monet’s garden in Giverny, Normandy. Here you’ll see the famous water garden used as the subject of Monet’s monumental series paintings of water lilies, called the Nymphéas – another truly beautiful garden that we visit as part of our tours to France.
