We rank each of our tours according to their level of difficulty: Easy, Moderate, Difficult, Adventurous or Challenging. Please be advised that all of our tours will require a certain amount of walking, stair-climbing and/or standing around for lengthy periods. This doesn’t mean that you have to be super fit to join one of our tours but it does mean that you need to have a normal level of fitness.

  • Chelsea Flower Show 2019 & English Gardens in the Cotswolds

    Join us on 22 May 2019 for this 7 day tour to visit the Chelsea Flower Show and 10 exceptional historic and contemporary English gardens in the Cotswolds.  Broughton Castle, with a walled garden laid out by Gertrude Jekyll, Hidcote Manor, the Arts & Crafts masterpiece which is by far one of Britain's greatest gardens, the all-organic garden at Snowshill as well as the contemporary gardens at Broughton Grange Estate are just four of the 10 gardens that we visit on this tour and which are sure to leave you with a lasting impression of these two regions of the UK.   We return to London from the Cotswolds for the last night of the tour.  For those that can stay in London just a little longer we offer a complimentary visit to the newly opened Temperate House at Kew Gardens on May 28th, the last day of our tour.

    This tour starts in London on 18 May 2019.  Between 18:00-19:00 you'll have an opportunity to meet your tour leader and fellow garden visitors over complimentary welcome drinks.  Over the next 4 days we explore 10 exceptional historic and contemporary gardens in the English county of Oxfordshire.  Some of the gardens that we'll visit are: Rousham Park designed by William Kent in the 1730's, Hidcote Manor, the Arts & Crafts masterpiece which is by far one of Britain’s greatest gardens as well as a quintessentially English garden in Upton Wold set in 9 acres of land.  We return to London to visit the world famous Chelsea Flower Show. Here, you will see first hand the work of some of the world’s best garden designers.  On May 24 we offer a complimentary visit to the newly opened Temperate House at Kew Gardens.

  • Tulip Gardens: The Keukenhof, Bloemencorso and Private Gardens in the Netherlands

    Join us on 12 April 2019 for this 7 day tour when we'll visit the world famous Keukenhof Flower gardens where more than 7 million bulbs will be in flower during our visit !  Horticulture is an important part of Dutch culture and we're lucky to be here at the same time as the important Bloemencorso Flower Parade where floats of all shapes and sizes are festooned with Spring flowers and paraded with great pride around the local bulb growing area.  During this tour we'll also learn about the Tulipmania period of Dutch history, see ancient varieties of tulip in flower and follow one of the most spectacular tulip trails in the country: hundreds of acres of tulips of all different colours and types in bloom.  In contrast, we'll also visit the Royal Palace Het Loo and see its superb Baroque garden and discover the nature and landscape of one the Netherlands best National Parks during our visit to the world famous Kroller-Muller museum and sculpture garden.  What better place is there to visit in Spring than the Netherlands?
