Giardini Botanici Villa Taranto is a botanical garden located in Pallanza, Italy, on the western shore of Lake Maggiore. It was founded in the 1930s by Scottish captain Neil Campbell, who purchased the villa and surrounding land and transformed it into a botanical garden. The garden features a wide variety of plants and flowers from around the world, including azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias, and magnolias. There are also several greenhouses on the property, which house a collection of tropical plants. In addition to the gardens, the Villa Taranto also has a museum on the property that features a collection of art and antiques. The Giardini Botanici Villa Taranto is a popular tourist destination in the Lake Maggiore region and is easily accessible by boat from the town of Stresa.
