Booking a Tour

Q: How can I book a tour with you?

Tour Information

Q: I have special dietary requirements, can they be accommodated?

A: Yes, please let us know by email and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements.

Q: How strenuous are the tours?

A: We rank each of our tours according to their level of difficulty: Easy, Moderate, Difficult, Adventurous or Challenging. Please be advised that all of our tours will require a certain amount of walking, stair-climbing and/or standing around for lengthy periods. We recommend having a normal level of fitness for our tours. If you are in doubt, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

Q: What language is my tour in?

A: The language of the tour is English or otherwise specified on the tour details page on our website. If you have specific language needs, please let us know when booking your tour and we will do our best to meet your requirements.

Q: What is included and excluded in the cost of my tour?

Q: What is the cost of my tour and is it guaranteed?

A: The cost of each tour can be found on the tour details page on our website. The cost is guaranteed once a deposit is received and the tour is confirmed.

Q: Is there free time during the tour?

A: All of our tours include free time built into the itinerary. Please refer to the tour details page on our website for specific information on free time for each tour.

Q: Why aren’t all lunches and dinners included in the price of my tour?

A: Some of our tours offer the option for meals to be included for an additional cost, while others do not. Please refer to the tour details page on our website for specific information on included meals for each tour.

Travel Insurance

Q: Does the price of my tour include travel insurance?

A: No, travel insurance is not included in the tour price. We recommend visiting online insurers to find a travel insurance policy that suits your needs. We will ask for a copy of your travel insurance policy before your tour begins.

Financial Protection

Q: Do I get some sort of financial protection if I book a tour with you?

A: Yes. Our company, Garden Tours BV, is a member of the Dutch Calamity Fund scheme and the Dutch Guarantee Fund Association for Travel and Tourism. This means that your travel sum and additional costs will be covered in case of a financial inability or a calamity.

Q: Do your tours include air travel?

A: No, air travel is not included in the tour price.

Cancellation

Q: I’ve booked a tour with you but I need to cancel it. Can you tell me what the cancellation conditions are?

Tour Group Size

Q: How large are your tour groups?

A: Our garden tours operate with small groups of between 15-20 people, however, some tours may have a larger group size and this will be mentioned on the tour details page.

Q: Are there any age restrictions for your tours?

A: We welcome travelers of all ages, however, please keep in mind that some of our tours may have a higher level of difficulty and may not be suitable for younger or older travelers. If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

Accommodations

Q: What are the size of the beds that I will be sleeping in when I join one of your tours?

A: Generally, there are equivalents for American sizes in Europe, although they are approximate sizes.

  • A U.S. twin bed is 39″ x 75″ (97 x 191 cm), which roughly compares with UK/Ireland’s single (36″ x 75″ or 91 x 191 cm) and continental European 90 x 200 cm (35″ x 79″).
  • A U.S. full or double bed (54″ x 75″ or 137 x 191 cm) is similar to UK/Ireland’s double bed (54″ x 75″ or 137 x 191 cm) and European 140 x 200 cm (55″ x 79″).
  • A U.S. queen (60″ x 80″ or 152 x 203 cm) is equivalent to UK/Ireland’s king size (60″ x 78″ or 152 x 198 cm) and Europe’s 160 x 200 cm (63″ x 79″).
  • A U.S. king size bed (76″ x 80″ or 193 x 203 cm) roughly corresponds to UK/Ireland’s super king (72″ x 78″ or 183 x 198 cm) and the European 180 x 200 cm (71″ x 79″).
